随着经济发展，我国畜牧业纵向一体化投资项目越来越多，对于这类多投资环节的长产业链项目，国内沿用的单一环节项目评价方法和指标体系具有一定的不适应性。该文研究了现有评价方法不适应性，并结合畜牧业纵向一体化项目产业链特点，提出改进的评价方法和指标体系，以使评价方法更具科学性和针对性，更好地为项目投资决策服务。
