形态特征:一年生或越年生草本,秆直立丛生,具6-7节,高60-100厘米。叶长披针形,叶鞘松弛包茎,叶舌膜质,长0.1厘米。花序穗状直立,长5-10厘米(芒除外),宽1-1.5厘米,小穗常单生于穗轴节,含3-9小花,上部者不发育。颖果卵圆形至长圆形,浅褐色,外稃长圆状披针形,长8-10毫米,顶端具芒或无芒,内稃与外稃几等长。花期4~5月,果期5~6月。
